Q: What exactly do you do?
We scan people using a custom-built 3D photogrammetry rig and turn them into high-quality, full-colour miniature figurines using our 3D printer. It's like a photo booth — but in 3D! We are also a design studio specalising in 3D design, 3D printing, architectural modelling, drone scanning, fabrication printing and much more. To find out what else we do, please get in touch.
Q: How does the scanning process work?
We use an array of around 80 cameras positioned around you to take a split-second capture from every angle. This is then turned into a detailed 3D model, which we print and deliver to you.
Q: How long does a scan take?
The actual scan takes less than a second. It’s totally non-invasive, safe, and suitable for all ages.
Q: What sizes are the models?
We have a range of sizes that we are able to print and deliver safely to you. These are: - 30mm - 50mm - 75mm - 100mm - 125mm - 150mm
Q: When will I receive my model?
Typically, models are delivered within 2–4 weeks after your event. We’ll keep you updated with tracking info once it’s printed and on the way.
Q: What’s the van hire charge for events?
For private events, there is a £300 van hire and setup fee. This includes transport, setup, and staffing of the rig.
Q: Can we book you for private parties or weddings?
Absolutely! We specialise in weddings, birthdays, graduations, and all kinds of private events. Get in touch to build a custom package.
Q: Do guests pay for their own scans?
Yes, at most events, guests choose and pay for their own scans and models. However, some hosts choose to pre-pay for a number of guest scans as part of their package.
Q: Do you travel anywhere in the UK?
We’re based in London, but we can travel UK-wide depending on availability. Travel costs may apply for long-distance bookings (typically more than a 3 hour drive from London).
Q: What should I wear for my scan?
Wear what you’d like to be remembered in! Bright colours, accessories, and detailed clothing work great. Avoid shiny or reflective materials where possible.
Q: Can I pose with someone else?
Absolutely, we can scan 2 people in our rig comfortably. We have squeezed 3 and even a 4th (little one) before. For best results, individual scans are recommended and our wizards back at FYDS HQ can put the group together digitally as to print all in one, or keep you separate... Tell us your vision and we will make it happen.
Q: Are the models fragile?
They’re sturdy for display, but not toys — treat them like a collectible. We package them securely for delivery.
Q: Do you do corporate bookings and brand activations?
Yes — we offer packages for trade shows, expos, team building, and more. Our 3D scanning experience draws a crowd and creates long-lasting engagement.
